Salamander Bay Retirement Village

This retirement village was developed by the Port Stephens Veterans and Citizens Aged Care to provide affordable and cost effective retirement living without compromising on space and amenity. The Village provides a mixture of villas and apartment living for seniors together with associated communal facilities.

All of the dwellings are designed to be energy efficient and consist of two bedrooms, wheelchair accessible bathrooms and ensuites, sunroom and attached garages for the villas and secure basement parking for the apartments.

The community centre is the focal point of the village’s social activities, its facilities include meeting and multi-purpose rooms, kitchen facilities, outdoor BBQ area and an indoor swimming pool and heated spa.

This village design incorporates innovative solutions to the environmental aspects of the site including fauna, flora and bushfire protection.

Master planned and constructed in 6 stages this village is now a well established and thriving community.
